The Leadership Council on Legal Diversity awarded Crowell & Moring its Top Performer and Compass awards, noting the firm’s commitment to building a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive organization and legal profession. This marks the seventh consecutive year that the firm has been honored with these distinctions.
The Top Performer award honors organizations in the top 20% for participation in the organization’s programs and activities. LCLD is one of the nation’s leading organizations promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal industry and is comprised of more than 450 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners who have contributed time and resources to creating a more equitable and diverse legal profession.
The Compass Award recognizes individuals and organizations that participate in member engagement activities; participate in the LCLD Fellows and Pathfinder programs; and play an active role in the organization’s 1L Scholars and Success in Law School Mentoring programs.
Crowell has been a longstanding member of LCLD and is committed to improving diversity in the legal profession. Ellen Dwyer, a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and the immediate past chair of LCLD, spearheaded the launch of LCLD’s Leaders at the Front Initiative, which called on member law firms and corporate legal departments to implement organizational change necessary to eradicate the barriers that have impeded the development and advancement of our women and diverse talent.
