US – Crowell & Moring’s Richard J. Lee Wins Cornerstone Award for Pro Bono Service from Lawyers Alliance NY.
Crowell & Moring partner Richard J. Lee was honoured with the 2024 Cornerstone Award from the Lawyers Alliance for New York. The recognition honours individuals and institutions that have made extraordinary pro bono contributions to help non-profits improve the quality of life for thousands of low-income New Yorkers.
Lee was acclaimed for his efforts in helping non-profits with financial transactions to secure and deliver capital to underserved communities. His work encompassed several projects, including a national social enterprise dedicated to promoting maternal health and fitness in urban areas, a micro-lending venture fund supporting women entrepreneurs in New York City, and a non-profit credit union fostering economic development in the Bronx.
“I’ve been fortunate enough to collaboarate with Lawyers Alliance and leverage my experience as a finance lawyer to assist organizations and make a positive impact on underserved communities,”said Lee.
The Cornerstone Awards will be held on October 28th, 2024, in New York City. Since 1997, the Lawyers Alliance has celebrated exceptional contributions to pro bono business and transactional legal services at this annual event.
