Withers KhattarWong LLP is pleased to announce that Gary Beh has joined the firm as a corporate partner in Singapore. Withers KhattarWong LLP is the Singapore member of international law firm Withers.
Gary’s arrival continues a series of strategic hires in Singapore aimed at expanding the firm’s full service offering.
Gary joins the firm from Linklaters, and had previously worked at Allen & Gledhill, a leading local law firm. He advises clients on regional fundraising, mergers, acquisitions and private equity transactions across a variety of sectors, including technology, financial services, energy and infrastructure. Gary also regularly advises clients on Singapore corporate regulatory and compliance matters.
“We’re delighted to welcome Gary to our corporate team and to have him build on the M&A, funds and regulatory strengths of our Singapore practice, working closely with our existing partners Daniel Yong (funds & M&A), Joel Shen (technology and venture capital) and Chau Hwei Lee (real estate). Gary’s experience working with closely held companies, private wealth and investment funds across the region fits fantastically with our own practice and I know that his enthusiasm for deal-making will be of great benefit to our clients,” says Jeremy Wakeham, CEO of Withers’ Business division.
“Gary’s addition comes at a pivotal time as Southeast Asia’s M&A landscape continues to see strong deal activity, with increasing cross-border transactions and a shift towards high-value sectors like technology and infrastructure. Gary’s expertise in navigating complex transactions and his track record in executing complex cross-border deals will strengthen our ability to support clients in leveraging these opportunities to achieve successful outcomes in an increasingly dynamic market,” adds Daniel Yong, joint managing partner of the Singapore office.
“This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic global platform with a leading presence in the private capital space. Private capital plays an increasingly important role in the investment world, including in Southeast Asia, and the Withers platform is well-positioned to capitalise on those opportunities with its deep bench strength and global footprint. I look forward to the many opportunities to collaborate with my fellow partners across the globe to build a market leading corporate practice on the Withers platform,” adds Gary.
