Zul Rafique & Partner’s Banking & Finance Partner, Celine Rangithan, together with Associate Peh Sue Min Debbie, from our Banking & Finance Practice Group, successfully acted as Malaysian counsel for a consortium of 30 regional and international financial institutions, including the International Finance Corporation, in connection with AirTrunk’s US$2.325 billion green financing (“the Financing”) to support the development of its JHB2 hyperscale data centre campus in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
The Financing represents the largest green project financing for a single data centre in Malaysia, and AirTrunk’s largest single-asset financing to date.
Celine Rangithan shared that “ZRP is proud to continuously support AirTrunk’s achievement in such a landmark financing deal, and it is an honour to continue supporting the Global Coordinators, Mandated Lead Arrangers, IFC, lenders, and the rest of the team involved in this historic deal in enhancing Malaysia’s digital infrastructure growth in a sustainable manner.”
