Bird & Bird advised the Pierre Yovanovitch Group, a French design house specialising in interior design, creative design and furniture, in connection with the acquisition of a stake in the company by Socadif and Nextstage AM as minority shareholders.
The transaction marks a decisive step in the roll-out of an ambitious growth strategy, centred on the development of the Pierre Yovanovitch Mobilier and Ecart brands, as well as the continued vertical integration of artisanal crafts.
Founded in 2001 in Paris, the Group which operates in the ultra-luxury sector has established itself as a global leader in interior design and bespoke furniture design, serving an exclusive clientele of owners of prestigious private residences and grand hotels and palaces. It also comprises the Argentat workshop, which holds the “Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant” (Living Heritage Company) label, as well as Ecart International, a subsidiary specialising in the reissue of furniture and objects by early 20th-century designers.
