Global law firm Clyde & Co is again adding to its Australian partnership with the appointment of insurance specialist Marcus O'Brien in Melbourne.
Marcus has extensive experience in insurance law and commercial litigation. His clients include major Australian insurers, London market underwriters, and corporations.
Marcus acts in claims arising from most lines of insurance with a particular emphasis on financial lines, D&O and professional indemnity claims. His experience in financial transactions litigation has included acting in many large disputes involving complex transactional issues and significant documentary analysis. Marcus has acted in a number of class actions involving financial products and professional negligence. Marcus will become the 14th partner at Clyde & Co in Australia. The firm opened with four partners in Australia in late 2012. He joins from Norton Rose Fulbright.
