Hot on the heels of recent high-level appointments in Hong Kong, international law firm Stephenson Harwood announces that it has entered into an association with independent Chinese law firm Wei Tu under the CEPA* arrangements. The association will be called “Stephenson Harwood – Wei Tu (China) Association”.
The association will allow Stephenson Harwood to offer clients a ‘one stop service’ for Hong Kong, English and PRC law advice (with the PRC advice being offered by Wei Tu). Based in Guangzhou, Wei Tu is led by Xianming Lu, who formerly worked for Stephenson Harwood for a number of years.

Xianming Lu is particularly experienced in cross-border financing transactions. His team is experienced in various fields, notably corporate, foreign investment, banking, finance, commercial litigation, employment and marine and international trade. Wei Tu's clients include banks, all types of enterprises, and individuals.
Already in 2016, Stephenson Harwood has appointed partners Richard Wilmot from the Hong Kong office of Watson, Farley & Williams, and King Tak Fung and Ivan Ng from Eversheds in Hong Kong.
