Kirkland & Ellis represented Garena Interactive Holding Limited, Greater Southeast Asia’s largest internet and mobile platform company, in connection with its Series D funding round raising US$170 million. The funding round was led by Khazanah Nasional Berhad, the strategic investment fund of the Government of Malaysia. The transaction was announced on March 31, 2016.
The Kirkland team on this transaction was led by Hong Kong corporate partners David Zhang and Amie Tang.
