A cross-office corporate team from Morrison & Foerster is representing Tencent, a leading provider of Internet value added services in China, as part of an investor consortium with NavInfo, a leading provider of digital maps and location services in China, and GIC, in jointly acquiring a 10% stake in HERE, the Open Location Platform company and a leading global online mapping and navigation provider, from its shareholders Audi, BMW and Daimler.
The team representing Tencent is led by Hong Kong partner Thomas Chou and Berlin partner Christoph Wagner with Hong Kong of counsel Jinghua Zou, and Berlin senior associates Felix Helmstädter and Robin Eyben. The due diligence team includes Berlin associates Johannes Hieronymi and Jens Wollesen, and San Francisco associate Nikita Tuckett. Hong Kong partner Chuan Sun and associate Gigi Yuen provided technology transactions counsel. Hong Kong associate Matthew Lau provided tax advice.
