Stephenson Harwood (Singapore) Alliance has advised Duff & Phelps, a global valuation and corporate finance adviser, on its acquisition of Quantera Global Asia Holding, an Asia-Pacific transfer pricing advisory firm affiliated with Quantera Global.
The transaction involved the acquisition of the Quantera business in Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam, a restructuring of the Quantera business in the Philippines, Japan and the People's Republic of China and involved a team of lawyers from across Stephenson Harwood's network of Asian offices.
"We were pleased to have the opportunity to assist Duff & Phelps in the expansion of its transfer pricing capabilities across the Asia-Pacific region," said Stephenson Harwood partner Tom Platts. This was a complex but important deal for Duff & Phelps, a key client of the firm, which involved multiple jurisdictions and time-zones. It once again provides a great example of the firm's ability to support its clients on their strategic, multi-jurisdictional M&A."
The Stephenson Harwood (Singapore) Alliance team was led by corporate partner Tom Platts, with support from corporate associate Penelope Davey. Further assistance was provided by corporate associate Mark Stephens, employment partner Terence Seah and employment associate Christine Ong. Hong Kong-based partner Paul Westover and corporate associate Yolanda Chung, along with Shanghai-based partner Chunfai Lui also provided advice. Tax advice was provided by tax partner John Meehan.
