Mumbai-based commercial law firm P&C Legal has today announced that it is entering a new chapter, with its rebranding of the firm to Jerome Merchant + Partners to focus its growth areas on the practices offered at the Mumbai office. The practices offered at the Mumbai office are primarily in the areas of financial services, M&A, private equity, real estate, technology, funds and aviation.
The re-branding and marketing strategy is borne out of an almost 6 month exercise within the partnership of identifying key practice area, partner strengths and focus areas, steps for enhancing the delivery of services to clients (such as incorporating enhanced levels of technology across the operations of the firm) and leveraging each of the above components to grow the firm and provide the best possible service to its clients.
The firm had engaged the UK-based professional services branding and communications agency Overture London to assist in the creation of the new name and marketing strategy.
The firm will continue its strong associate relationship with Poovayya & Co, providing its clients with access to complimentary services at Delhi and Bangalore.
In a statement, Sajan Poovayya, Senior Counsel and former managing partner of Poovayya & Co said: "The two firms will seamlessly continue our collaborative relationship and associate offices – where we assist each other’s clients’ in our respective areas of strength and geographies, thereby continuing to contribute to the growth of both firms”.
