China-focused disputes and investigations lawyers Shaun Z. Wu and Nan Wang will be resident in Kobre & Kim’s Shanghai office. Mr. Wu — a Mandarin and Cantonese speaker with a law degree from Oxford University — focuses on international joint venture disputes and government investigations involving China. In addition to his qualifications as an English solicitor and U.S.-licensed lawyer, Mr. Wu is also admitted to practice law in the British Virgin Islands and works closely with Kobre & Kim’s BVI office in handling the many China-related matters in that jurisdiction. Ms. Wang is a Shanghai native with a law degree from China, focusing on China-related investigations.
In addition, former U.S. Department of Justice prosecutor Wade Weems recently joined the firm’s Washington DC office to focus on the firm’s growing number of Asia-related matters.
