Stephenson Harwood LLP's alliance firm in Singapore, Virtus Law LLP, has strengthened its corporate practice with the arrival of partner Parikhit Sarma.
"Parikhit has an established track record in capital markets as well as mergers and acquisitions, which complements our existing practices," said Daryll Ng, managing partner of Virtus Law. "His experience and deep involvement in both the Singaporean and Indian markets enhances the support we can provide our clients."
Sarma advises clients on a wide range of corporate and commercial transactions, in particular, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, capital markets-related matters, banking and finance, and regulatory compliance. He joins Virtus Law from Morgan Lewis Stamford where he led Singapore related transactions and supported the launch and development of the firm's India desk.
The Stephenson Harwood (Singapore) Alliance was established in 2014. Together, Virtus Law and the Singapore office of Stephenson Harwood have around 50 fee-earners, including 17 partners.
"The Alliance enables us to offer clients a tightly integrated service in multi-jurisdictional matters involving English law and permitted areas of Singaporean law," said Martin Green, the managing partner of the Singapore office of Stephenson Harwood. "Strengthening our local law expertise with the addition of a partner of Parikhit's calibre means we can better support our Singapore clients and international clients investing in the region."
