Mint conducted a Q&A with Aradhana Bhansali discussing the issue of a bank refusing to allow a family member (caretaker) as a power of attorney-holder to withdraw money for an Alzheimer's patient’s treatment in case he/she is in no condition to
sign any document for the same.
The article also talks about the process of the high court granting a writ in the nature of mandamus to the applicant to be the guardian of Alzheimer's patient to family members who have applied for the same.
