Davis Polk advised the sole initial purchaser of the Regulation S offering of high-yield notes by China Evergrande Group of $100 million 8.9% senior notes due 2021. The notes are consolidated and form a single class with the $400 million 8.9% senior notes due 2021 issued on May 24, 2019 and further issued on July 30, 2019.
China Evergrande Group, listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, is one of the largest developers of residential property projects in different cities across China. Founded in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province in 1996, it has become a leading national property developer in China through its economies of scale and widely recognized brand name.
