The Personal Data Protection Department ("PDP Department”) has published a public consultation paper seeking feedback regarding a review of the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 ("PDPA”).
Proposals have also been made which include the data processors having direct data protection obligations, the appointment of a data protection officer, the right to data portability and obligation to report data breach incidents, amongst others.
Please note the extended deadline for submission of feedback of 10 March 2020. Feedback need not be confined to the PDP Department's proposals as set out in the paper and can include any comment or recommendation relating to the PDPA itself.
