Helen Liao, Partner, was recently interviewed by Asian Legal Business regarding the decision made by the National People’s Congress on allowing lawyers in Hong Kong and Macao to obtain mainland legal qualifications and practise in the other nine cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. As a dual-qualified lawyer in both the mainland and Hong Kong, Helen notes that the measures could be a boon for the integration of legal services markets in the Greater Bay Area. However, details of the qualification examination are still to be unveiled.
