Morrison & Foerster congratulates Hong Kong Partners Marcia Ellis and Vivian Yiu on being recognized in the fourth annual publication of IFLR1000 Women Leaders. IFLR1000 Women Leaders recognizes women who are at the top of their profession in their fields locally, have impressive track records, and are consistently recommended by clients and peers for the quality of their advice and service.
Marcia Ellis is global chair of Morrison & Foerster’s Private Equity Group and a member of our global board of directors. She has appeared on the list each year it has been published, and was recognized for her expertise in the areas of M&A and private equity.
Vivian Yiu has more than 20 years of experience advising on a broad range of corporate transactions, including significant experience in Hong Kong capital markets primary and secondary offerings, PIPEs and public M&A transactions (including takeovers and privatizations) and other M&A transactions. She was honored for excellence in the areas of M&A and corporate finance.
Women Leaders is a supplement to IFLR1000’s research guide to the world’s leading financial and corporate law firms and lawyers. The women who are selected for the list are considered to be among the best legal professionals in their areas of practice. Each year, IFLR1000 evaluates lawyers and firms on the basis of transactional experience and market feedback, surveying more than 50,000 referees.
MoFo has long championed the advancement of women within the legal profession. Creating an inclusive culture that supports the growth and development of talented women lawyers is at the heart of our shared values and commitment. We are recognized as one of the Best Law Firms for Women for the 11th time in 2020, including every year since 2014. We are one of the law firms that has been recognized 10 times or more, which, as of 2019, earned us a designation on the Hall of Fame list.
