JunHe sincerely welcomes Ms. Yan Zhang to our Shanghai office. Ms. Zhang focuses on corporate and M&A, life sciences and healthcare, private equity and financing and compliance.
Ms. Zhang graduated from the East China University of Political Science and Law with a bachelor’s degree in law and a master’s degree in law, and then gained her Master of Business Administration at the China Europe International Business School. She began her legal career after obtaining the Chinese lawyer practice qualification in 1995. Her work experience includes six years in a Chinese red circle firm before entering China's medical and health industry in 2006. There she held senior management positions in two high-end medical groups and served as a chief compliance officer.
After 15 years working in the medical and health industry, Ms. Zhang is familiar with medical devices, in vitro diagnosis, medical investment, medical services and other fields. During her tenure, she led many domestic and foreign IPO projects, and led and participated in nearly 30 domestic and foreign M&A and strategic cooperation projects. This included bulk acquisitions, partial asset acquisitions, joint ventures and technology introductions. Ms. Zhang has been engaged in corporate legal affairs and compliance management and is familiar with the establishment of corporate legal risk prevention systems. She has accumulated rich experience in compliance risk assessment, the implementation of compliance measures, dispute settlement, crisis management and other aspects of a company's operations. For over 26 years, Ms. Zhang’s vision has not been limited to the legal level – she has incomparable strategic judgement. When dealing with company operations and management issues, she has rich practical experience, especially in the formulation and implementation of development strategies, equity structure design, management structure optimization and equity incentive plan formulation. Ms. Zhang understands a company’s practical legal needs and pain points, and can provide pragmatic legal advice and solutions to her valued clients.
JunHe’s Shanghai office is a bright and dazzling pearl inlaid at the intersection of the river and the sea. Ms. Zhang will not only expand the talent team of our successful Shanghai office, but reinforce JunHe’s comprehensive strength in the medical business area and add depth to our legal services in the pharmaceutical industry area.
