Waste-to-energy (WtE) technologies are gaining traction as one of several imperatives for sustainable waste management. WtE technologies convert non-recyclable waste sources into usable forms of energy and resolve some growing environmental issues, including reducing greenhouse gas emissions from waste burning and environmental pollution.
As a result, Governments across the emerging markets are eager to tap into WtE technologies. In this infographic, the authors look at the main features of the WtE projects in Malaysia and the existing and upcoming WtE projects in the region.
