On 24 June 2022, China promulgated the Amendments to its 14-year-old Anti-Monopoly Law (the “AML”) which will take effect from 1 August 2022 (the “Amendments”).
To bring the Amendments alive, consultation drafts of six sets of existing implementing regulations are released on 27 June for comments, proposing changes not only to implement the Amendments but also reflect latest enforcement practices/trends.
These draft regulations are expected to be finalised soon to provide further clarity on the Amendments as of 1 August.
