SPACs or special purpose acquisition companies are companies which are created for the specific purpose of acquiring a target private company which is then listed on a stock exchange.
This article examines the Indian law provisions pertaining to SPACs particularly with regard to the recommendations of the Company Law Committee Report 2022 on SPACs.
