The three-day conference, now in its 18th year, returns as a hybrid event. It is the largest and longest-running industry event in Bermuda, attracting more than 800 delegates, with half from overseas, to examine trends in the global captive market. Appleby has been a long-standing sponsor since 2008.
Matthew Carr, an insurance partner within the Corporate department of Appleby’s Bermuda office, will participate in an ESG ‘fireside chat’ session on 12 September.
Matthew has experience in a wide array of insurance and reinsurance matters involving captives, catastrophe bonds, special purpose insurers, and long-term and general business commercial re/insurers. His practice includes the provision of structural and regulatory advice for new and existing re/insurers and he is frequently involved in the licensing process for new re/insurance structures. Matthew is a member of the Bermuda Business Development Agency’s Captive Insurance Committee and is recognised by Legal 500 as a ‘Rising Star’ in the Insurance/Reinsurance category.
