Deacons has strengthened its corporate commercial practice with the hire of Mark Stevens, an experienced corporate lawyer, as Partner.
Before joining Deacons, Mark was a Partner at the Hong Kong office of international law firm Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP. Prior to that, he was a partner with Mayer Brown, a firm where he spent more than 18 years.
In a career spanning more than three decades, Mark has worked with clients in the Asia Pacific region on their inbound and outbound M&A, joint venture, private equity and other commercial transactions. He has broad sector experience working on transactions involving logistics, trading, sourcing, retail, fast moving consumer goods, real estate, hospitality, ecommerce, publishing and natural resources. His clients included blue chip listed and private entities, private equity funds as well as public utilities and statutory bodies.
