Hello and welcome to the spring edition of our inquests newsletter
We bring you a round-up of key cases and topics from the coronial world. As ever, please get in touch if we can assist you or your organisation in relation to inquest proceedings and do let us know if you have any questions arising from the topics covered in this newsletter.
We are pleased to confirm that two of our team have been appointed as Assistant Coroners: Kate Fawell-Comley in Brighton & Hove/West Sussex, and Elizabeth Wheeler in Cheshire. These roles continue alongside their existing inquest practice at Hill Dickinson.
The start of this year has seen us hold mock inquests across our national offices. At the time of writing, we have held events in Leeds and London, with further events to take place in Manchester and Liverpool. The events thus far have proven a great success, with participants providing great feedback about how useful the sessions have been (as well as commenting on our lawyers’ acting skills!) Hill Dickinson can provide bespoke mock inquest training for your organisation with a specific scenario depending on the services you provide (to include mental health, deaths in prison custody and provision of emergency/out of hours care).
Please get in touch if you would like to find out more.
