Led by Appleby’s female partners, Caren Pegg and Claire Milne, the Women’s Leadership Network aims to engage and develop a group of female leaders, who have the power to support the development of women in their workplace. The purpose of the network is to bring together a group of senior female leaders from the local business community and provide a platform for discussion and networking.
The first event of the Women’s Leadership Network since the pandemic took place on Thursday 30th March, with the objective to host a series of events to follow which will focus on current and relevant topics with female guest speakers.
Claire Milne said, “In the words of Serena Williams “every woman’s success should be an inspiration to another. We’re strongest when we cheer each other on.” We at Appleby cheer the success of all the women business leaders in the Isle of Man and hope that we can encourage networking and learning opportunities – and with a bit of fun thrown in the mix!”
Caren Pegg said, “There needs to be more women supporting women. One woman’s success can only help another woman’s success. Sharing ideas, stories, experiences and socialising builds confidence and connections. This is why we feel our Women’s Leadership Network is vital.”
