The updates include:
- the approval by the Council of Ministers of the preliminary draft law concerning various economical provisions;
- the approval by the Chamber’s Plenary of the draft law implementing Directive (EU) 2019/1023 on preventive restructuring frameworks, on discharge of debt and disqualifications, and on measures to increase the efficiency of procedures concerning restructuring, insolvency and discharge of debt; and
- the publications in Belgian State Gazette of (i) the Law of 4 May 2023 inserting a Book XIX “Consumer debts” in the Belgian Code of Economic Law and (ii) the Royal Decree of 18 April 2023 approving the FSMA regulation on the reporting of monitoring the rules of conduct in accordance with the IDD and validation of the cartography.
