LegalTech Soapbox: Empower Your Daily Operations With LawDroid.

Thomas Martin is the CEO and founder at LawDroid. LawDroid is a Legal AI company dedicated to helping lawyers improve their productivity. Thomas has experienced the pain of not having enough hours in the day to get everything done. He founded LawDroid to alleviate this pain and help lawyers get more leads, intake more clients and  automate boring and repetitive tasks.

 Let’s jump right in!

1. Hi Thomas tell us the story behind LawDroid.

I am a practicing lawyer. I started as a solo practitioner and now run a profitable and growing law firm. I created LawDroid seven years ago to solve my own pain points: to help me do more with less, get more work done with a limited budget. AI and automation empowers me to do that. It streamlines the volume of work and then amplifies what I can accomplish so I can practice at a higher level. With LawDroid I can work on my law practice instead of being trapped inside it.

2. What are the services or products that LawDroid provides?

LawDroid has been growing its expertise in AI over the last seven years. We have 800+ customers, including lawyers, law firms, business, universities and law students. We have two products: 1) LawDroid Copilot is an AI legal assistant that helps lawyers perform legal tasks with a collection of helpful prompts and workflows to get more done with less time and effort; and 2) LawDroid Builder,  an intuitive, no code platform that empowers lawyers to create their own custom AI agents to handle everything from intake to document automation.

3. How does the above optimise the daily operations of an in-house legal team/ law firm?

LawDroid optimises the daily operations of an in-house legal team and law firms by taking on the repetitive work so that lawyers and their staff can focus on the more challenging work that requires human judgment and expertise. No need to answer repetitive questions: let our QnA GPT answer those questions for you. No need to conduct onboarding interviews: let our Intake GPT do that for you. Initial drafts of documents? Let our Doc Drafting GPT do that for you. Basic legal research? We have you covered with that too!

4. What do you believe will be the most significant change in how in-house legal teams use technology in the next 10 years?

The most significant change will be that legal teams will use technology for all aspects of legal practice. It will be pervasive and affect everything from client communications to legal advice, research, drafting, strategy and analysis. No longer will technology simply be used simply as a tool to assist lawyers with the process of law practice (for example, acting as a word processor to help lawyers print out their thoughts and arguments) but it will be used everyday in the substance of law (for example, creating legal arguments and analysis and optimising them based on past experience).

KorumLegal is a boutique legal consultancy committed to providing value innovation in legal service delivery. The legal services industry is continuing to change with ‘NewLaw’ – and clients are seeking more innovative and cost-effective solutions without compromise on experience and quality
