Our Senior Legal Associate, Sia Ju Ling, together with the guidance of our Partner, Leong May Ling from Zul Rafique & Partners’ Corporate Real Estate Practice Group, are pleased to have advised and acted for Southville City Sdn. Bhd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Mah Sing Group Berhad (“Mah Sing Group”), in its proposed disposal of approximately 78.80 acres of freehold land within “Southville City, Selangor” (“Land”) to a subsidiary of a global digital infrastructure and data centre operator based in Singapore, for a purchase consideration of RM617.86 million. The Land is intended to be developed for data centre-related development.
Our role involved advising on matters relating to the development and delivery of the Land, regulatory and planning approvals, and the detailed infrastructure, utilities and connectivity frameworks required for the proposed development, including managing implementation milestones and transaction-specific arrangements. The mandate integrates a broad range of current legal, infrastructure and commercial considerations crucial for a major data centre real estate transaction in Malaysia.
