Appleby acted as Bermuda counsel to BMS Group (BMS) in connection with its £355 million investment from Eurazeo, a French private equity and venture capital firm listed on Euronext Paris with more than €35 billion in assets under management.
Appleby acted for BMS, a global broker that provides specialist insurance, reinsurance and capital markets advisory services, which has a growing Bermuda footprint of BMA-regulated Bermuda companies.
Appleby’s role included assisting with the due diligence process, obtaining all regulatory consents and providing Bermuda law transaction advice more generally.
The Appleby team was led by Bermuda Managing Partner Brad Adderley with support from Partner Matthew Carr and Associate Melinda Mayne.
