DivinaLaw Senior Partner Atty. Jay Layug continues to champion renewable energy (RE), speaking on several energy-related fora.
The head of DivinaLaw’s energy practice took part in a roundtable discussion on the green energy auction program and offshore wind readiness in the Philippines in an event co-organized by the Developers of Renewable Energy for AdvanceMent, Inc. (DREAM) and by international nonprofit organization Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC). He was also a featured speaker in the two-day workshop organized by the Royal Norwegian Embassy and British Embassy in Manila, in collaboration with GWEC and Det Norske Veritas.
He spoke on the country’s aggressive transition to renewable energy during the Renewable Energy Summit and was also a speaker at the GCL Energy Forum.
Atty. Layug moderated a panel discussion which focused on investments in the energy sector during the 6th Annual Energy Forum organized by the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines.
He is also the guest speaker of a recent online interview by Power Philippines, an independent online news publication dedicated to covering developments in the energy sector.
Atty. Layug was recently elected as president of DREAM, the umbrella organization of all renewable energy associations in the Philippines. Senior Partner Atty. Richie Ramos-Pilares, co-head of the Firm’s energy practice, was elected assistant corporate secretary of DREAM.
