AURELIS 2026 (Asian Union for Regulatory and Emerging Legal Inclusive Systems), the Asian legal leadership platform bringing together leading voices from across the legal, business, academic and technology communities, was held on 18 September 2026 at Rembrandt Hotel Bangkok, Thailand.
Led by the Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF) and curated by Global Legal Times, the inaugural edition of AURELIS brought together legal leaders and professionals from across Asia for a day of conversations on the changing landscape of law, regulation, business and justice.
The defining moment of the conference was the unveiling of the Asian Legal Accord, marking the beginning of an initiative aimed at strengthening legal dialogue and cooperation across Asian jurisdictions.

The Asian Legal Accord was unveiled at the conference as a framework for greater dialogue, cooperation and collaboration across jurisdictions while recognising and respecting the distinct legal systems and traditions that define Asia.
The Accord is a document that brings together a shared vision around stronger regional legal cooperation at a time when cross-border investment, business, technology and emerging regulatory questions increasingly extend beyond individual jurisdictions.
The unveiling of the Accord at AURELIS 2026 marked the beginning of a wider journey towards building stronger legal connections across Asia.
A day of conversations shaping Asia’s legal future
While the Asian Legal Accord was the defining highlight, AURELIS 2026 brought together a broad range of conversations examining some of the most significant developments shaping the region’s legal landscape.
The conference opened with perspectives from SILF leadership followed by the inaugural ceremony and distinguished addresses from India and Thailand.
The morning programme explored the future of dispute solutions in Asia, including arbitration, mediation and emerging approaches to cross-border disputes. Delegates also examined the growing legal and business opportunities connecting India, the Gulf, Southeast Asia and Africa, one of the world’s rapidly developing economic corridors.
The conference also created space for informal regional exchange through a curated networking luncheon and exclusive interviews, bringing candid perspectives from legal leaders alongside demonstrations of emerging technologies transforming legal services, compliance and access to justice.
The afternoon programme turned towards some of the most pressing questions facing the legal profession examining AI, data privacy across jurisdictions and if Asia is for AI regulation.
Conversations and collaboration
AURELIS 2026 was designed not simply as a conference but as a platform for continuing regional dialogue. Across the day’s sessions, one theme emerged consistently: while Asia’s jurisdictions may differ in their legal traditions, many of the challenges facing the region are increasingly shared.
