Leading global law firm Baker McKenzie announced today that prominent disputes lawyer Justin Tang has joined the Firm’s Hong Kong office as a partner in its Dispute Resolution Practice, further strengthening its cross-border dispute resolution and arbitration capabilities in Greater China and across Asia Pacific.

Justin, who joins from Linklaters, brings more than 18 years’ experience advising on China-related cross-border commercial disputes for private equity and credit funds, corporates, financial institutions, and state-owned enterprises. His practice spans international arbitration, commercial litigation, and insolvency-related matters in jurisdictions such as Hong Kong, Mainland China, Singapore, and the British Virgin Islands, with a particular focus on China-related disputes and arbitrations. He has extensive experience handling shareholder and joint venture disputes, bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings, as well as urgent asset tracing and injunction applications. He also regularly advises clients on regulatory investigations involving authorities such as the Securities and Futures Commission, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, and the Independent Commission Against Corruption.
