International law firm Bird & Bird has advised 1947 Oil & Gas plc on its admission to trading on the AIM Market of the London Stock Exchange, together with a fundraising and the acquisition of Renaissance Offshore LLC, a company with a portfolio of producing oil assets in the Gulf of Mexico/America.
1947 Oil & Gas is an oil and gas production company focused on acquiring, operating and growing a portfolio of producing assets in the United States. Upon admission today, the company had a market capitalisation of approximately £65.1 million.
The Company’s first acquisition, Renaissance Offshore, LLC, is a Houston-based oil and gas production company with interests in eleven fields located in the shallow-water Gulf of Mexico/America.
This admission represents the second AIM IPO of the second half of 2026, highlighting renewed confidence in the market and a resurgence in fundraising activity this year, particularly following the recent changes to the AIM Rules.
