International law firm Bird & Bird continues to grow its Corporate practice with the appointment of capital markets expert David Cheng as a partner in its Hong Kong office.
David has over 15 years of experience in capital markets, including initial public offerings (IPOs), spin-offs, reverse takeovers, open offers, public offers and privatisation. David advises underwriters, placing agents, public companies, as well as private companies, across a wide range of industries, including energy, food and beverage, consumer products, real estate, pharmaceuticals, finance as well as media and entertainment and technology and communications. He represents businesses on their fund raising activities in Hong Kong, notably on their listing on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKSE) and the Growth Enterprise Market (GEM).
David’s appointment is a key part of Bird & Bird’s strategy to expand its Corporate practice in Greater China including Hong Kong, and the wider AsiaPac region, through the development in particular of their Corporate finance team.
