Appleby Cayman Islands is proud to announce that Senior Associate Appolina Winton has been selected as one of the Fund Finance Association’s (FFA) 2024 Rising Stars. The award recognises those who are making a significant impact in the industry and are paving the way for its future.
Appolina, affectionately known as ‘Apple’, is a member of Cayman’s Corporate Finance and Insurance teams. Her practice is particularly focused on fund finance where she represents financial institutions and borrowers on a range of secured and unsecured finance transactions including, subscription lines, NAV financings, asset backed facilities and general partner and management lines. Apple is an Appleby legal scholarship recipient and joined the firm in 2016 under its Articled Clerk programme.

The FFA recognises the importance of acknowledging the emerging talent who are making waves in the industry. This year, there was an outstanding 275 nominations made, and the FFA noted that “this group of rising stars brings energy, enthusiasm, and fresh perspectives to the forefront. They are the ones who will drive the industry forward in the coming years”.
