JunHe welcomes new partner Mr. Du Xiaocheng to our Xi’an office. Before joining JunHe, Mr. Du worked at a leading PRC law firm and has vast practical experience in leading the expansion and development of the firm in the northwest region. He focuses on civil and commercial litigation, and has participated in hundreds of significant, difficult or complicated civil and commercial litigation cases. These have involved practice areas such as energy and natural resources, banking and finance, corporate governance, and construction projects. Thanks to his diverse experience as a litigation representative and his familiarity with different civil and commercial litigation and arbitration processes, Mr. Du offers comprehensive and constructive dispute solutions for his clients. He is currently undergoing transfer procedures.
Mr. Du’s professional abilities have been widely recognized by his peers and clients, and he has won multiple awards from domestic and foreign media companies. In 2024, he was named in “The A-List 2023-24: Growth Drivers” by China Business Law Journal and in 2023, Benchmark Litigation named him the “Dispute Resolution Star”. Mr. Du was named one of the “West China Top 15 Rising Lawyers” by ALB China and in 2023 China Business Law Journal named his as an “Annual Rising Star”. In 2022, Mr. Du was selected as a “Client Choice: Top 15 Rising Partners” by LEGAL BAND. He is an adjunct professor at Northwest University of Political Science and Law, a legislative advisory expert of the 14th Standing Committee of the Shaanxi Provincial People’s Congress, and the vice president of the Energy Law Research Association of Shaanxi. Mr. Du is the executive director of the Shaanxi Provincial Law Society Internet Law and Governance Research Association, the deputy director of the Environmental, Resources and Energy Law Committee of the Shaanxi Bar Association and a member of the expert pool for the recognized third-party organization for compliance evaluation and the monitoring of enterprises in Shaanxi Province. He is also the chief legal advisor of the Shaanxi LNG Industry Association, and a senior researcher at the Arbitration Research Institute of Xi’an Arbitration Commission.
