Building on the momentum of its first international leg, DivinaLaw continued its pro bono outreach abroad through the second overseas installment of its flagship legal clinic, Dulog Legal, held in Hong Kong.
In collaboration with the Hong Kong Philippine Consulate General, the Migrant Workers Office, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Pro Bono HK, and IBP Pampanga, DivinaLaw lawyers conducted in-person legal consultations for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) seeking guidance on legal concerns affecting their lives both in Hong Kong and in the Philippines.
Participants received advice on a range of matters faced by Filipinos working in Hong Kong, including property law, civil registry concerns, annulment, and divorce. The consultations provided attendees with practical legal guidance and an opportunity to raise personal concerns directly with the firm’s lawyers.
Spearheaded by Pro Bono Legal Services Lead Atty. Mary Jude C. Marvel, the initiative was joined by Senior Partner Atty. Gregorio Y. Larrazabal; Partners Atty. Floro C. Balato, Jr. and Atty. Renelie B. Mayuga; Senior Associate Atty. Maria Carissa C. Guinto; and Associate Atty. Joseph Michael A. Rosuello.
IBP Pampanga Chapter President Atty. Catherine C. Mesuelo was also present and among the lawyers who served during the legal clinic.
Initiated by Managing Partner Atty. Nilo T. Divina in 2022, Dulog Legal has served as the firm’s flagship pro bono initiative. The Hong Kong clinic marks its 13th installment and the second to be conducted overseas, further strengthening DivinaLaw’s mission of making legal assistance more accessible to Filipinos beyond Philippine borders.
Through Dulog Legal, the firm continues to offer free legal consultations to Filipinos, both at home and overseas, ensuring that underserved Filipino communities gain meaningful access to practical legal guidance.
