Germany – Bird & Bird Advised Vanagon Ventures in Powerhouse Pre-Seed Investment for AI Innovator ExoMatter
Global law firm Bird & Bird has provided legal counsel to Vanagon Ventures, the lead investor, in ExoMatter’s pre-seed funding round.
ExoMatter is transforming materials research through the integration of AI and quantum mechanical modeling. By streamlining the materials development process by up to 90%, the company significantly cuts costs and greenhouse gas emissions. With its recent pre-seed funding, this AI startup is poised to advance its growth strategy further.
Vanagon Ventures, founded in 2022 and based in Munich, is a Climate DeepTech venture capital fund. It targets visionary founders aiming to revolutionize Europe’s major economic sectors. The fund is led by Axel Roitzsch, a serial entrepreneur, Sandro Stark, a former Microsoft strategist, and Susanne Fromm, formerly of Allianz Digital and Roland Berger. As seasoned early-stage investors, they specialize in deep-tech startups in nature, finance, and industry, focusing on high-return opportunities that also positively impact the environment and society.
