EGC is a leading energy service provider and decarbonization partner for the real estate sector. With the acquisition of BayWa EDL, EGC strengthens its presence in Bavaria and is now represented in all major regions of Germany. At the same time, EGC expands its technology portfolio in the field of biomass, further emphasizing its role as a one-stop shop for climate-friendly energy solutions.
BayWa EDL specialises in biomass heating systems and local heating networks. The subsidiary of BayWa AG, founded in 2009, operates heat generation plants at 52 locations, which are predominantly powered by biomass and produce around 51,200 MWh of heat annually.
