International commercial law firm Hill Dickinson has been ranked in 24 of its UK practice areas in Chambers and Partners UK 2025 legal directory, published on Thursday 17 October.
Spanning the research period of February to June 2024, the Chambers’ rankings are based on thousands of interviews with clients, providing a snapshot of the marketplace in 2024.
The consistently high rankings achieved by our three core business groups – Business Services, Marine and Health – demonstrate the exceptional value and comprehensive legal advice we provide to our clients. This year’s results represent two new practice area rankings for the firm – Corporate/M&A – Yorkshire and Real Estate – Yorkshire.
Highest ranked practice areas
Of the 24 practice areas ranked, five practice areas achieved the highest, Band 1, ranking. They are:
• Court of Protection: Health & Welfare (Public Sector Clients) – UK-wide
• Healthcare: Mental Health Providers – UK-wide
• Healthcare: Public and Third Sector – UK-wide
• Corporate/M&A: £5 Million and Above – North West
• Transport: Logistics – UK-wide
Highly ranked individuals
The firm has achieved 74 lawyer rankings, marking an increase from 57 in last year’s edition. Of these, six individual lawyers achieved the highest, Band 1, ranking across multiple practice areas, with Kiran Bhogal maintaining dual ranking. They are:

Upholding his ranking as an Eminent Practitioner, Jonathan Brown, Hill Dickinson chair and corporate partner, is once again recognised as an influential figure in the firm, with commodities partner Jeff Isaacs and corporate legal director Sue Russell maintaining their rankings as Senior Statespersons.
Several of Hill Dickinson’s lawyers have been ranked as Up-and-Coming, Star Associate and Associate-to-Watch, acknowledging the firm’s ability to nurture legal talent of the future.
