Calamus brings extensive experience in cross-border corporate transactions, including public offerings, M&A, restructuring, private equity fund formation and regulatory compliance. Her arrival enhances the firm’s ability to serve clients in complex multi-jurisdictional matters, particularly involving Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands law.
Prior to joining Appleby, Calamus previously served as a Partner at an offshore firm in Shanghai, where she was instrumental in expanding the corporate practice, building a high-performing team, and driving significant revenue growth. Before that, Calamus has gained over a decade of experience at top-tier international law firms, including Sidley Austin, Latham & Watkins, and Linklaters. Calamus has earned repeated recognition for her leadership on high-profile transactions and her accolades include being named among the Growth Drivers (International) in the A-List by China Business Law Journal and featured in the Asian Legal Business Offshore Client Choice list.
