Ronny Chow, Head of our Corporate Finance Practice Group, is pleased to announce the further expansion of our Banking and Finance practice with the lateral appointment of Michael Sinn as a Partner, with effect from 17 February 2025. Together with Crystal Li’s arrival earlier in the year, the latest lateral additions to the firm’s Banking and Finance practice will further enhance our ability to deliver high-quality services to our clients and strengthen our leading position in this field.
Michael has over 15 years of banking and finance experience in advising lenders and borrowers in syndicated and bilateral loan transactions, including green finance, property development and real estate finance, acquisition finance, cross border financings and general credit facilities in domestic, PRC and overseas markets. He also has experience in advising banks, financial institutions and money lenders in general banking matters, including compliance with Money Lenders Ordinance and Banking Ordinance.
Prior to joining Deacons, Michael was a Partner at a US law firm in charge of leading its Hong Kong general banking practice, having started out as a trainee solicitor in 2008 before being promoted to partnership in 2019.
Commenting on joining Deacons, Michael said: “I am excited to be joining the partnership at Deacons. As Hong Kong’s oldest and largest independent law firm, I believe the firm’s extensive resources and market leading practices will enable us to navigate complex legal challenges, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service. I am thrilled to be reunited with my long-term colleague Crystal Li and I look forward to working closely with Ronny Chow, Simon Deane, Erica Wong and the rest of the banking team to further bolster the firm’s banking and finance capabilities.”
As one of Hong Kong’s largest and most established corporate finance practices, Deacons is committed to continuously enhancing our capabilities to better serve our clients.
