Initiatives such as the Department of Justice’s funding scheme to promote LawTech adoption, the “AI for All” programme, and the planned AI upskilling campaign reflect a clear commitment to helping businesses and professionals adapt to a rapidly evolving economy. As organisations increasingly integrate AI into their operations, investment in workforce training will be critical to ensuring employees can use these technologies responsibly and effectively.
Government support for AI education and skills development will play an important role in helping employers build a future-ready workforce. In professional services, including the legal sector, successful AI adoption depends not only on technology but also on governance, training and human oversight. By supporting AI literacy, professional training and responsible adoption across industries, Hong Kong can strengthen its position as an international innovation and technology centre while reinforcing its role as a bridge between the Chinese Mainland and global markets, enhancing Hong Kong’s long-term competitiveness, but also support the country’s broader objectives of high-quality development and technological advancement.
