At the same time, the firm is delighted to share the promotions of senior associates Elaine Chung and Natalie Leong to consultants. With their extensive expertise in family and matrimonial law, and their dedication to supporting clients through challenging times, Sindy, Elaine, and Natalie have consistently contributed to the firm’s mission of providing effective legal solutions, positioning RKS as a leader in the field. The promotions are effective from 1 December 2024.
Sindy is a trusted advisor for ultra-high net worth individuals and families for over a decade, with vast experience in family law and wealth planning. Her expertise encompasses various aspects of family issues, including family governance, trusts, divorce, nuptial agreements, forum disputes, financial matters, children, adoption, and surrogacy. Before joining RKS, Sindy held a senior role at a global bank, where she advised clients on their succession planning needs. Prior to that, Sindy began her journey in the legal sector at an international law firm. Her continued contributions within the family and private wealth space earned her recognition in the categories of Excellence (previously known as Rising Leader) in the Private Client Global Elite Directory in 2023 and 2024, and Up and Coming by Chambers and Partners for Family/Matrimonial (International Firms) in the Greater China Region in 2024.
Elaine is an enthusiast in family-related issues and has been working in this area for over a decade. Her practice encompasses all aspects of family law, including financial matters and children’s issues, both contentious and non-contentious. Her cases often involve cross-jurisdiction issues, third-party interests, and complex corporate structures which require in-depth intellectual and analytical consideration. Before joining RKS, she worked for both local and international law firms.
Natalie is one of the ALB Hong Kong Rising Stars 2023 and a peer-nominated practitioner in the 2024 Private Client Global Elite Directory. She has extensive experience in all aspects of family law, including nuptial agreements, divorce, and disputes relating to children and matrimonial finances. She also advises on contentious estate and probate matters. Her civil litigation experience includes handling general commercial disputes and professional liability claims. This broad range of practices makes her unique in the industry. Natalie began her legal career a decade ago, and prior to joining RKS, she practiced at international law firms specialising in family law and commercial disputes.
