Linklaters has advised the sole placement agent on IDFC FIRST Bank’s debut international dollar bond issuance in a private placement format.
IDFC FIRST Bank, acting through its IFSC Banking Unit at GIFT City, successfully priced and issued its inaugural US$600 million three-year 5.625% senior notes due 2029 and US$350 million five-year 5.800% senior notes due 2031. The notes were issued in a private placement format directly to investors outside the United States in reliance on Regulation S.
The transaction attracted participation from leading global institutional investors and provides the bank with an additional channel to access international capital.
