Startups play a crucial role in driving economic growth by fostering innovation and IP, creating employment opportunities, and attracting investments that strengthen the overall market. In celebration of the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝗗𝗮𝘆 on January 16, 2025, and to honour the transformative power and crucial role of Indian startups in shaping the future of innovation, the Maharashtra State Innovation Society hosted an event at the Jio World Centre, BKC, Mumbai. The event was graced by 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗶. 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗿𝗮 𝗙𝗮𝗱𝗻𝗮𝘃𝗶𝘀, who gave the inaugural address, and 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗵𝗿𝗶. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗟𝗼𝗱𝗵𝗮 highlighted the state’s commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration within the startup ecosystem. Milestones, such as the exchange of MoUs with SIDBI and HP and the online inauguration of the CoE at ITI, Govandi, added significant value to the event. Additionally, winners of the 𝗣𝘂𝗻𝘆𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗹𝗼𝗸 𝗔𝗵𝗶𝗹𝘆𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗶 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗸𝗮𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲 were felicitated, further emphasising the importance of empowering women entrepreneurs.
Panel discussions explored key topics driving the startup ecosystem, including a fireside chat and a keynote on fostering a culture of innovation, discussions on funding and a panel on empowering women-led startups added depth to the day’s conversations.
Representing LexOrbis, Associate Partner Gaurav Phadnis and Managing Associate Paulome Mehta met key stakeholders at the event, participated in discussions on the startup ecosystem, and strengthened their ties with the vibrant startup community.
