Ms Alexandra Mussina, our environmental enthusiast and junior lawyer, demonstrated another day’s commitment to sustainability and renewable energy initiatives during her participation in the recent meeting of the Working Group on green economy and renewable energy, convened by the AHK Zentralasien / GFCC Central Asia Verband der Deutschen Wirtschaft in der Republik Kasachstan (German Economy Union in the Republic of Kazakhstan).
Discussions centred on the facilitation of green certificate issuance for the voluntary market, including the exploration of International Renewable Energy Certificates (I-REC) and the pioneering Qazaq Green Association Green Certificate.
Of particular interest were the innovative technical solutions presented by Güntner International to address ozone layer depletion attributed to cooling systems. Proposals looking for the replacement of harmful substances such as HFC(Hydrofluorocarbons) and CFC(Chlorofluorocarbons ) with eco-friendly alternatives like carbon dioxide and ammonia underscored a collective commitment to combatting environmental degradation of a ozone layer.
