Starting April 13, 2024, Kazakhstan’s embassies and consulates globally are now equipped to issue Individual Identification Numbers (IINs) to foreign nationals. This streamlined process requires a visit to any of the 96 diplomatic missions, presenting a completed application form along with a copy of a valid identity document (foreign passport) for verification. If the passport lacks essential information in Cyrillic or Latin script, a notarized translation is necessary. The service is expedited, with IINs typically issued within one working day.
