In line with the President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s Message about reforming the state procurement system, on May 15, the Mazhilis passed a revised version of the Law on State Procurement, which is aimed at improving the quality of purchased goods, works, and services. Also, it will simplify the procurement process, introduce automating procedures, foster bigger responsibility of public procurement participants as well as transition state and quasi-state organisations’ procurement to a unified platform.
